TOWN PLANNING LANDSCAPE PLANNING ARCHITECTURE
Associate professor at the Royal Academy of fine Arts, School of Architecture since 1970. Tutor, examiner and teacher for PhD students. In periods visiting professor at foreign architect schools and from 1997 to 2000 also ‘external professor’ at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University.
Research
HISTORY OF CITIES URBAN THEORY CITY DEVELOPMENT
As a researcher Hans Ovesen has worked with the problems of city development and housing in the third world and with the contemporary reshaping of European cities. Most of the research work is published in books and articles in Danish.

Practice
Besides the teaching and research work Hans Ovesen works as a practicing architect. Among other projects the following are worth mentioning- Storyboard and scenography for the Copenhagen Tivoli entertainment ‘Valhallaborgen’.
- Emerging Cities – an exhibition about Copenhagen in global perspective. An exhibition in the Danish Architecture Centre 2001 - 2002.
